448. Jacob Slover was born about 1736 in West Jersey, NJ. He died in 1764 in New River, Augusta Dist., VA. He has reference number 3M86-CX. He was buried in His Estate Proba. Probably a son of Abraham Slover and Sophie Schermerhorn. In Chalkley's Abstracts of Records of Augusta Co. Va. John Bowen was made administrator of the estate of Jacob Slover Aug. 21, 1764 and this same John Bowen was made guardian of the son, Abraham, when Abraham was bound out to him as an apprentice. The family tradition states that Jacob served in the Colonial Army at Braddock's Defeat, 1756, but no proof has been found of this.

i. Abraham Slover was born in 1753 in New River, Augusta Dist., VA. He died in 1834. He has reference number 3M86-S6.

iii. Jean Slover was born in 1757 in New River, Augusta Dist., VA. She has reference number 3M86-TC.
iv. Elizabeth Slover was born about 1759 in New River, Augusta Dist., VA. She has reference number 3M86-VJ.
v. Daug Slover was born about 1761 in New River, Augusta Dist., VA. She died in 1764. She has reference number 3M86-WP.
vi. Baby Slover died in 1764. He (or she) was born about 1764 in New River, Augusta Dist., VA. He (or she) has reference number 3M86-XV.
